Law enforcement officers in the western Missouri town of Sedalia were forced to use deadly force against a knife-wielding suspect, resulting in a fatal outcome for the assailant and injuries to two police officers involved in the altercation, according to investigators.

Upon responding to the disturbance call, officers encountered an individual armed with a knife, later identified as a 28-year-old man from Sedalia.
