Detectives working closely with Amazon dispatchers were able to track the stolen van to an Amazon facility located in the 900 block of McLaughlin Ave. in San Jose. It was there that the alleged thief, identified as 36-year-old Elena Flores, was apprehended without any resistance.

The driver, a man in his thirties, recounted seeing his work van being driven away as it made a U-turn on West Charleston Road, heading southbound on El Camino Real.

No Packages Stolen

Thankfully, no packages were reported missing and were all safely accounted for. Elena Flores, a San Jose native, is not an Amazon employee and had informed authorities that she simply needed to return to San Jose.
