Accident – Death – Obituary News : The median age at diagnosis was 62 years (range, 30–88 years). The majority of patients were Caucasian (85.3%), married (62.4%), and diagnosed with high-grade tumors (77.4%). The median tumor size was 5.6 cm (range, 0.9–15.2 cm). Bone, brain, and lung metastasis were observed in 16.4%, 7.7%, and 9.5% of patients, respectively. Survival Analysis
The 1-year overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) rates for the entire cohort were 25.4% and 28.3%, respectively. The 5-year OS and CSS rates were 2.4% and 2.9%, respectively. Univariable analysis revealed that age, ethnicity, marital status, tumor grade, tumor size, organ metastasis, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and surgery were significantly associated with OS and CSS. Multivariate analysis confirmed that chemotherapy and surgery were independent risk factors for OS and CSS, with patients who underwent chemotherapy and surgery showing better CSS and OS rates. Radiotherapy, however, failed to improve outcomes.

Conclusion
In conclusion, this study identified several prognostic factors of DAC with liver metastasis. Chemotherapy and surgery were found to prolong the survival of DAC patients with liver metastasis, highlighting the importance of identifying the optimal treatment strategy for these patients. Further research is needed to validate these findings and explore additional therapeutic options for DAC with liver metastasis. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on rare malignancies and provides valuable insights into the management of DAC patients with liver metastasis. Duodenal adenocarcinoma (DAC) with liver metastasis is a rare and aggressive form of cancer with poor prognosis. Marital status was associated with patient OS, with married patients having better OS.

The study’s findings suggest that multimodal therapy, including chemotherapy and surgery, is crucial for improving the prognosis of DAC patients with liver metastasis. However, the study has some limitations, including its retrospective nature and limited data on treatment regimens. Further research is needed to fully evaluate the survival outcomes of DAC patients with liver metastasis.
