Tragic Death in Alberta Avalanche
A tragic incident occurred in southwestern Alberta, where a man lost his life after being caught in an avalanche while snowmobiling. The incident took place in the back-country area near the popular Castle Mountain Resort, located in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta.

According to the RCMP, the man, along with another man and two children, were snowmobiling in the area when the avalanche struck. While one of the men managed to escape with both children, the other man was buried under the snow. Despite efforts to locate him, his body was only recovered the following day.
The victim, a 46-year-old from Magrath, Alberta, has been identified, but his name has not been released to the public. His body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further investigation.
