The deceased individual has been identified as Vikas Verma, a humble man who had been residing on the pavements of Khanda colony and supporting himself by selling helmets on the streets. Originally hailing from Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, Verma had been a part of the Khanda colony community for the past two decades, having moved there after leaving his son in Saudi Arabia, where he worked as a doctor. Verma’s son, who had entrusted his contact information to local residents for updates on his father’s well-being, was informed of the tragic incident by a kind-hearted neighbor named Dilip Mhatre.
