The victims have been identified as 44-year-old Daniel Baker, his father Robert Daniel Baker (also known as Dan Baker), 78, and their family friend, 45-year-old Zebulon Logan.

Flight to Florida Ends in Tragedy

The trio were on their way to Florida to pick up a newly purchased vehicle when their Piper PA 32 Cherokee Six crashed shortly after takeoff from the James A. Rhodes Airport. The plane went down in a field just a quarter-mile north of the airport, leaving the community shocked and saddened by the loss.

Authorities were quick to respond to the crash site, where they found the aircraft engulfed in flames.
