Tragic Incident at Firecracker Unit in Virudhunagar District

A devastating fire explosion at a firecracker unit in Mellampatti village, Virudhunagar district, has claimed the life of a 21-year-old man. The incident, which occurred at approximately 3 pm, has left the community in shock and mourning.

The victim, identified as Ajit Kumar from Arunchalapuram village, was employed as a construction worker at the Ravindra fireworks factory. Tragically, Ajit lost his life in the explosion, leaving behind a grieving family and friends.

Following the tragic event, residents of Ottampatti village quickly alerted the authorities, prompting a response from the police and Fire and Rescue Department. The fire was eventually extinguished, allowing rescue personnel to recover Ajit Kumar’s body. His remains were then transported to Sattur Government Hospital for a postmortem examination.

The investigation into the cause of the fire explosion is currently ongoing, with authorities working diligently to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic loss of life.
