Man Arrested for Stealing Medical Transport Vehicle

A man accused of stealing a medical transport vehicle after leaving a hospital where he was receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a previous crash has been apprehended by police. The incident took place in Manassas, and the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Rickey Lowe, was taken into custody on Friday.

Suspect’s Involvement in Previous Crash

According to authorities, the events leading up to Lowe’s arrest began on Monday when he was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla that had been reported stolen from Prince William County. The vehicle subsequently crashed on Route 50 at Interstate 66. The driver of the car, 29-year-old Xxeavius Romoance Marlow, was charged with grand larceny in connection with the incident and is currently being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

During the crash, Lowe, Marlow, and three others sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. It was while receiving medical care for his injuries that Lowe made a daring escape.

Escape and Vehicle Theft

Police reported that Lowe left the hospital premises wearing a hospital gown and with an intravenous (IV) drip still attached to his arm. He then proceeded to steal a medical transport vehicle, which was later discovered abandoned in Annandale.
