Authorities have revealed that the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision was operating a Mazda CX-5 and travelling in the same direction as the bicycle on S. Tryon Street. The front right corner of the Mazda collided with the bicycle, causing Starr to be thrown into the air and ultimately land on the sidewalk.
