Wrong-Way Crash on U.S. Highway 101 Near Shelton Results in Fatality
Tragedy struck on U.S. Highway 101 near Shelton as a woman lost her life and a man sustained injuries in a wrong-way crash on Friday night. The Washington State Patrol reported that the incident occurred in the northbound lanes of the highway, near Cloquallum Road.

Details of the Incident
The 52-year-old Oroville woman, identified as Brandy E. Johnson, was suspected of driving under the influence when she was driving south in the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101. The collision occurred when she crashed head-on into a 22-year-old man from Mexico who was driving northbound on the same highway. Both vehicles came to a stop on the road following the impact.
Victims of the Crash
Tragically, Brandy E. Johnson succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at Mason General Hospital in Shelton. The 22-year-old man was also injured in the crash and was taken to the same hospital for treatment.
