Deadly IED Explosion Rocks Manipur’s Imphal West District
Tragedy struck Manipur’s Imphal West district as one person was killed and another injured in a brutal IED explosion at the DM College complex on Friday night, according to local police reports.
The victim, identified as 24-year-old Oinam Kenegy, tragically succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital, while the injured individual is currently undergoing treatment for serious wounds.
No Claim of Responsibility for Blast
As investigations into the incident continue, no group or organisation has come forward to claim responsibility for the deadly blast.
Meanwhile, in a separate and disturbing development, the office of the United Committee Manipur (UCM), a prominent civil society organisation, was set ablaze by unidentified individuals in the Lamphelpat area of Imphal West district.

Further Acts of Violence
Adding to the chaos, unidentified perpetrators vandalised and set fire to the administrative section of a school in Imphal East district in the early hours of Saturday. Additionally, a vehicle parked on the school premises was also destroyed in the blaze.
Authorities are working diligently to uncover the motives behind these acts of violence and bring the perpetrators to justice.
