Identification of Woman Found Deceased in Santee Flood Channel
Following a major storm in January, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a woman who tragically lost her life with the help of a local citizen’s tip. The victim, 46-year-old Faith Angle, was experiencing homelessness at the time of her passing.

Discovery of the Victim
On Monday, Jan. 22, authorities received a call reporting two individuals in distress in a flood channel near Forester Creek, located in the area of Prospect Avenue and Cuyamaca Street in Santee. The victim, Faith Angle, was found in the brush on the southern border of Forester Creek around 3:50 p.m. that same day.
Response and Confirmation of Death
Paramedics responded swiftly to the scene, but unfortunately, Faith Angle could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead at the location. The exact cause and manner of her death are still pending investigation by the medical examiner’s office.
Forensic Sketch and Identification
Shortly after her passing, a forensic sketch of the victim was created by artist PJ Puterbaugh and released to the media. Thanks to the efforts of local citizens and authorities, Faith Angle has now been officially identified.
