Six Killed in Tragic Road Accident in Belagavi District, Karnataka

Tragedy struck the quiet town of Belagavi in Karnataka as six individuals lost their lives in a horrific road accident on Datt Jamboti Road, located approximately 90 km from the bustling city. The incident, which occurred on Friday, left the entire community in shock and mourning.

Details of the Incident

The fatal accident took place when a speeding car collided with a parked two-wheeler, causing a chain reaction that resulted in the tragic loss of lives. Five victims tragically died on the spot, while another succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, leaving behind a trail of devastation.

Victims of the Tragedy

The deceased individuals have been identified as Eknath Bhimappa Padtari (22), Mallikarjun Ramappa Marathe (16), Akash Ramappa Marathe (14), Laxmi Ramappa Marathe (19), and Nagapa Laxman Yadavannavar (48). These individuals, with their whole lives ahead of them, were taken away too soon, leaving behind grieving families and shattered dreams.

Appeal for Caution

Bhimashankar Guled, the Superintendent of Police for Belagavi district, expressed deep concern over the rising number of road accidents in the area. In the past three days alone, 25 lives have been lost to such tragic incidents. He urged the public to adhere to traffic rules, avoid speeding, and prioritize safety on the roads to prevent further loss of lives.
