Three Arrested in Millbrook Shooting

MILLBROOK, Ala. (WSFA) – Three suspects are currently in custody at the Elmore County Jail in connection with a shooting incident that took place in January. According to court documents, the suspects, identified as Kordez Ervin, 24; Latrell White, 23; and Gabriel Wade, 21, all residents of Selma, are facing multiple charges.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of Jan. 15 in the 3100 block of Highway 14 in Millbrook. Police responded to reports of shots fired and found two vehicles that had been hit by gunfire.

Details of the Shooting

One of the vehicles, a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, was struck by gunfire at least 32 times. A 22-year-old Selma resident who was inside the vehicle sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Thankfully, the passenger, a 23-year-old, was unharmed. Additionally, a 39-year-old resident of Prattville had her vehicle hit three times by bullets.

Witnesses reported seeing a black Nissan Altima with tinted windows and no license plate firing shots at the vehicles before fleeing the scene. The suspects were chased but managed to escape, last seen in the Prattville area near Highway 14 and Old Farm Lane.

Arrest and Evidence

Minutes later, Prattville police spotted a similar vehicle leaving a business on Old Farm Lane and detained Ervin and White after making a traffic stop. A witness identified the vehicle as the one involved in the shooting, although it now had a license plate. Further investigation led to the discovery of three Glock firearms with illegal conversion switches in a nearby dumpster.

Surveillance footage later revealed that Wade was the individual who disposed of the guns in the dumpster. Ervin and White are facing charges of shooting into an occupied vehicle and conspiracy to commit murder, while Wade is charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

Bail and Charges

Each suspect is currently being held on bail amounting to $360,000. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
