Tragic Accident Claims Life of Valentine Nguyen in Livonia

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. — The community of Geneseo is in mourning following the tragic death of Valentine Nguyen, a 21-year-old resident, in a fatal car crash that occurred in Livonia on Tuesday.

The incident took place at the intersection of Bronson Hill and Stone Hill roads in Livonia at approximately 4:12 p.m. on February 20. According to reports from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, Nguyen was driving a passenger vehicle when he failed to yield and pulled out into the path of a commercial dump truck travelling south on Bronson Hill Road. The dump truck, unable to avoid the collision, struck Nguyen’s vehicle with devastating consequences.

Regrettably, Valentine Nguyen was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A passenger who was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Based on preliminary findings, it has been indicated that no criminal charges are expected to be filed in connection with the incident.

Emergency response teams including Livonia and Lakeville firefighters, Livingston County Advanced Life Support, and Livonia and Livingston County EMS personnel were on-site to provide assistance and support following the tragic collision.
