Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Charges Two Individuals for False Written Statements

In a recent incident in the town of Villenova, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office charged Ricky E. Vento, 50, of Forestville, and James W. Lewellyn, 43, of Angola, for making punishable false written statements. The investigation, which took place on Dye Road, revealed that both Vento and Lewellyn provided false statements in relation to the incident. Both individuals are scheduled to appear in Villenova Town Court in the near future.

Jamestown Police Department Makes Multiple Arrests

James A. Carter, 27, of Jamestown, was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, first-degree burglary, aggravated criminal contempt, third-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree criminal contempt, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers conducted a check at a south side residence and found Carter, who was wanted on several felony warrants. Despite attempting to flee, Carter was apprehended and taken to Jamestown City Jail for arraignment.

Richard A. Eck Jr., whose age was not provided, of Warren, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. During a routine traffic stop on Barrett and Prather avenues, police discovered methamphetamine and two Buprenorphine and Naloxone sublingual films in Eck’s possession. Eck was processed and is set to appear in Jamestown City Court.

Gary S. Dean Jr., 47, was charged with two counts of felony first-degree criminal contempt. Responding to a call about an unwanted male at a residence on the north side of the city, officers found Dean hiding behind a neighboring home. It was later revealed that Dean had violated an order of protection involving a woman and her child residing at the location. Dean was taken into custody and held for arraignment.
