New Haven Man Faces Multiple Charges After Crashing Into Two Homes

A New Haven resident, Deontae Randall David Bristol Jr., is facing serious charges after crashing into two homes near the intersection of Green and Summit streets on February 16. According to court documents from Allen Superior Court, Bristol has been charged with felony criminal recklessness as well as several misdemeanors.

On the day of the incident, Bristol was taken into custody by the police after his vehicle collided with two houses in the New Haven area. The impact caused significant damage to both properties, with one house losing approximately 50% of its front wall and the other sustaining damage to its northwest corner along with landscaping damage.

Fortunately, despite people being inside both homes at the time of the crash, no injuries were reported by the New Haven Police Department. However, the situation could have been much worse given the extent of the property damage.

Following his arrest, Bristol was tested for alcohol consumption, with results showing a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .156%. This led to additional charges being brought against him, including the criminal recklessness charge involving a deadly weapon, which is classified as a Level 6 felony.

Bristol is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on Friday, where he will face the consequences of his actions. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of responsible behaviour behind the wheel.
