Man Found Dead in Clarksburg, West Virginia

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Tragedy struck in Clarksburg, West Virginia as a man was found dead from gunshot wounds on Jack Run Road on Wednesday. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident, stating that another man has been charged with felony murder in connection to the death.

The victim was identified as Dallion Lewis, a 37-year-old resident of Clarksburg. During the investigation, Dennis High, a 36-year-old from Salem, was arrested and charged with felony murder in connection to the incident.

As of 8:27 a.m. on Thursday, High was not listed on the West Virginia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s website.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are anticipated in connection to the case.

“This is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public,” Sheriff Robert Matheny reassured in the press release.

At this time, the sheriff’s office has chosen not to disclose any further information regarding the case.
