Tragic Incident at a Bowling Alley in Nebraska

Two individuals have been taken into custody by Nebraska authorities following a devastating incident at a bowling alley that left two men dead. Alias Reed, aged 25, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and robbery, while his girlfriend, Kaylyne Sweazy, aged 27, faces charges of tampering with evidence.

The tragic event took place on February 20 at Curt’s Lanes & Dining bowling alley in Bloomfield. Reed entered the establishment with a concealed shotgun and fatally shot two men, identified as Curtis Strom, aged 77, and William Reffett, aged 49.

Curtis Strom, the owner of the bowling alley, was described as a hardworking business owner with a big heart who had been a pillar of the community for over 50 years. Friends and acquaintances took to social media to express their shock and grief over his untimely passing.

William Reffett was also fondly remembered by loved ones, with heartfelt messages shared online to honour his memory.

Shocking Details Uncovered

According to reports, Reed had allegedly planned to rob Reffett before carrying out the brutal killings. Following the shooting, Reed stole money from the victims’ wallets and the cash register before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement officials later recovered the murder weapon, a shotgun, which had been discarded in a ditch several miles away. Investigators believe that Reed and Sweazy had travelled together to dispose of the evidence.

The same day as the tragic incident, Reed and Sweazy were embroiled in a legal battle over the custody of their newborn child, who had been placed in state care. The couple was seeking to regain custody of their baby, with court proceedings scheduled for a later date.
