Police Arrest Gang of Dacoits in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed District
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Kej police in Beed district successfully nabbed a gang of seven dacoits in the early hours of Thursday morning. The police operation led to the seizure of a country-made firearm along with five live cartridges, preventing a potential armed robbery in the area.
The Assistant Superintendent, Kamlesh Meena, received a crucial tip-off about a white car traveling from Kej towards Ambajogai with the intention of committing a robbery. Acting swiftly on the information, the Kej police set up a trap on the Kej-Ambajogai road and intercepted the car.
During the operation, the police confiscated a country-made pistol, live rounds, iron rods, a screwdriver, and a wooden stick from the arrested individuals. The seven individuals were identified as Ganesh Pandurang Bhosale, Harosh Tomar Devdiga, Narayan Mangala Karan, Srinivas Ashaani Bargam, Shravan Shivaji Gaikwad, Dipak Dasharath Chate alias Tathe, and Namdev Parsu Powar.
Recent Police Operations
Police conducted a raid in a house in Chira Chas, arresting 11 cybercriminals involved in online lottery fraud. Three of the accused managed to escape from the rented house. The Kamla Nagar police successfully solved the blind murder case of a 42-year-old woman, a domestic worker from Shabri Nagar Multi. The victim’s son, Raunak, was apprehended for the crime. Raunak confessed to the murder, citing a one-sided romantic interest and a previous molestation incident. He attempted to mislead the authorities during the investigation.
