Tragic Crash Claims Life of Pedestrian in Cedar Rapids

A tragic incident unfolded on a Sunday afternoon in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, when a pedestrian was struck and killed in the 1400 block of Memorial Drive SE. The quiet neighbourhood was suddenly disrupted by the sound of screeching tires and the impact of a vehicle hitting two individuals.

Local resident Kyle Kubite was behind the wheel of his vehicle on that fateful day, travelling along Memorial Drive SE at approximately 4:45 p.m. The collision resulted in the injury of two pedestrians – an adult male and an adult female.

Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where the female pedestrian, identified as Bonnie Stover, tragically succumbed to her injuries. The male pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently recovering.
