Louisville Metro Police on the Case of Murdered Woman in Fern Creek

Authorities in Louisville Metro are actively investigating the tragic death of a woman who was found stabbed to death in a patio home on Chenoweth Vista Way in Fern Creek. The victim, identified as 79-year-old Bettie Collins, was discovered on February 12. As of now, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.

In response to the public’s concerns, Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) has reassured the community that they are diligently pursuing those responsible for this heinous crime. They have increased security measures in the vicinity of the stabbing and are urging residents to be vigilant in securing their homes and vehicles to prevent further criminal activity.

The area where the murder took place is described as a small community predominantly inhabited by elderly residents. The coroner has not yet released the name of the victim, but LMPD confirmed that she was discovered during a welfare check on February 12, leading to the initiation of a murder investigation on February 21.
