ST. PAUL, Minn. — In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a tragic incident occurred in St. Paul as a pedestrian was struck and killed by a city bus. The fatal collision took place at approximately 12:45 a.m. at the intersection of Ford Parkway and Macalester Street.
Metro Transit police reported that the pedestrian was crossing the road when they were struck by an eastbound METRO A Line bus on Ford Parkway. Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the accident.
The Minnesota State Patrol has been called in to assist with the investigation. Meanwhile, the bus driver involved in the incident has been placed on standard administrative leave as the authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
