DENTON, Texas Shooting Incident Leads to Arrest of Two Men
Last Sunday, a tragic incident unfolded in the parking lot of Fred Moore High School in Denton, Texas. Local police responded to reports of a shooting in the early hours of Oct. 15, where they discovered two adults with severe gunshot wounds. One victim, Edron Slaughter, aged 30, succumbed to his injuries, while the other victim, a 26-year-old male, remains in critical condition.

Details of the Incident
According to the Denton Police Department, a verbal altercation between individuals escalated into a violent confrontation. The 26-year-old male is suspected of initiating the gunfire that resulted in the death of Edron Slaughter. Evidence suggests that at least two more individuals were involved in the shooting, identified as 22-year-old Daviune Hardy and 38-year-old Robert Coffey. Both are believed to have fired weapons during the incident, targeting the 26-year-old victim.
Arrest of Suspects
Following an intensive investigation, arrest warrants were issued for Hardy and Coffey on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Law enforcement authorities successfully apprehended both suspects by the evening of Oct. 19. However, the investigation remains ongoing, as detectives suspect the involvement of other individuals in the shooting.
