Detroit Shooting Leaves 11-Year-Old Girl in Critical Condition

An 11-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being shot in the head while she was sitting on a couch in a Detroit home. The incident took place early Tuesday morning when two suspects approached the house and opened fire, leaving the young girl critically injured.

The tragic incident occurred in the 6000 block of Pennsylvania, near Gratiot and I-94, where the house was reportedly filled with around 20 people at the time of the shooting. Assistant Chief Charles Fitzgerald expressed disbelief at the senseless violence, stating, “All they heard was a bunch of shots coming from outside. This story doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.”

This is not the first time that this particular home has been targeted in such a manner. In December 2023, shots were fired into the house, but fortunately, no one was injured during that incident.

Michigan Central Station Reopening Date Announced

The iconic Michigan Central Station, which has undergone extensive renovations by Ford Motor Co. since its acquisition in 2018, is set to reopen on June 6. The historic train station has been meticulously restored, with Ford working in collaboration with the Michigan State Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service to preserve its heritage while modernizing the space.

While the station will no longer serve as a transportation hub, Ford plans to utilize the building for its autonomous vehicle teams, with the main area open to the public.

A disturbing incident unfolded at a Redford Township gas station over the weekend, where a man was viciously attacked in front of his daughter. The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous for safety reasons, suffered severe injuries including two black eyes and a broken nose.

Recounting the harrowing experience, the victim described feeling overwhelmed by a group of individuals, one of whom brandished brass knuckles. Despite the terrifying ordeal, he expressed gratitude for narrowly avoiding further harm.

The assault took place shortly after the victim had picked up his daughter, underscoring the random and violent nature of the attack.

An explosion caused by propane use inside a residence in Ann Arbor resulted in the destruction of a home on S. 7th Street. The blast, which sent debris flying in all directions, was reportedly heard by neighbours and rattled windows in the vicinity.

Ann Arbor Fire Chief Mike Kennedy emphasized the dangers of using propane indoors, highlighting the importance of adhering to safety protocols to prevent such incidents. Fortunately, the homeowner escaped with minor injuries, and neighbouring properties sustained minimal damage.

Woman Injured in Shooting Outside Troy Steak House

Violence erupted outside Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Troy on Monday night, as a woman was shot multiple times while walking to her car with a friend and a baby. The victim, who sustained gunshot wounds to her legs, is currently in stable condition at a local hospital.

Troy police have reassured the public that the shooting does not appear to be a random act, alleviating concerns of further danger to the community.

America’s Most Wanted Suspect Apprehended in Florida

Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County announced the capture of a suspect featured on FOX’s America’s Most Wanted. Davie Albarran, wanted for sexual offences involving minors, was arrested in Lakeland following a tip-off.

Albarran’s daughter had previously taken to social media to expose her father’s alleged crimes, leading to his eventual apprehension. The 51-year-old faces serious charges related to sexual assault and misconduct.
