The incident occurred at the intersection of E. Alameda Avenue and S. Potomac Street around 8:40 p.m. on Sunday. According to the Aurora Police Department, the driver of an Infiniti sedan was traveling eastbound on E. Alameda Avenue when they ran a red light and collided with a Ford Focus. The Ford driver, who was turning left onto S. Potomac Street with a green arrow, escaped physical harm.

**Fatal Outcome**

The impact caused the driver of the Infiniti to lose control, veering off the road and crashing into a signal pole. Tragically, a passenger in the Infiniti was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
