Lafourche Parish Sheriff Arrests Lockport Man for Murder in Stabbing Incident

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre has announced the arrest of Tre’ Booty, an 18-year-old man from Lockport, in connection with a fatal stabbing incident that took place on Sunday. The victim, identified as Hunter Parks, a 20-year-old resident of Larose, tragically lost his life in the altercation.

On February 18, 2024, at approximately 12:20 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a stabbing on Adams Street in Mathews. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found Booty sitting in a nearby vehicle with bloodstains on his clothing. He was promptly taken into custody. Meanwhile, the victim, Parks, was discovered with multiple stab wounds, primarily to his torso. Despite efforts to save him, Parks was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an initial investigation, detectives determined that Parks was at his mother’s residence when Booty arrived. An altercation ensued between the two individuals, culminating in Booty allegedly stabbing Parks multiple times.

Booty was subsequently booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux and has been charged with second-degree murder. His bail has been set at £500,000.
