Man Arrested and Charged After Body Found in Garbage Cart in South Milwaukee

A 31-year-old man from Wisconsin has been arrested and charged following the discovery of a body in a garbage cart near a business in South Milwaukee. The incident took place on February 7, and authorities in southeast Wisconsin took swift action in response.

Kavonn L. Ingram, 31, from Milwaukee, was apprehended by officers from the South Milwaukee Police Department in connection to the case. The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Alex Stengel from Cudahy, and it was revealed that Stengel and Ingram were co-workers at a local Pizza Hut Restaurant.

Law enforcement officials have stated that the motive for the homicide appears to be related to money, and as a result, Ingram is now facing four felony charges for his alleged involvement in the crime.

Court records show that Ingram is charged with First-Degree Intentional Homicide, where he is accused of acting as a party to the crime and using a dangerous weapon. Additionally, he faces charges of Hiding a Corpse and Armed Robbery with the use of force, both as a party to the crime. Finally, he is also charged with Possessing a Firearm despite being a convicted felon.

Ingram is scheduled to make his initial appearance at the Milwaukee County Courthouse on Friday, where he will face the charges brought against him. If convicted, he could potentially be sentenced to life in prison.

The South Milwaukee Police Department has stated that they are not actively seeking any additional suspects in connection to this case, suggesting that Ingram may have acted alone. However, no further details have been provided at this time.
