Man Wanted in Connection with Weekend Shooting in Paducah, Kentucky

Paducah, Ky. (KFVS) – Authorities in Paducah, Kentucky are seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a weekend shooting incident. James M. Fields, 28, is currently wanted on charges of second-degree assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The incident occurred late Saturday night, February 17, when Paducah police officers responded to a reported shooting. According to reports, a male victim sustained a single gunshot wound to the abdomen and drove himself to a nearby hospital for treatment.

During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that the shooting took place following an argument, during which two shots were fired. James M. Fields was identified as the shooter and had fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

It was further revealed that Fields is a convicted felon with prior convictions for robbery and drug trafficking, making him a person of interest in this case.
