Arrest Made in Fatal Stabbing Case in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana
LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Authorities in Lafourche Parish have apprehended a suspect in connection with the recent stabbing death of a man in Mathews.
According to Sheriff Craig Webre, deputies responded to a stabbing incident on Adams Street around 12:20 p.m. on Feb. 18. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Tre’ Booty with blood-stained clothes in a nearby vehicle.
The victim, identified as 20-year-old Hunter Parks, was found shortly after with stab wounds to his torso. Despite life-saving efforts, Parks succumbed to his injuries.
Following an investigation, it was determined that Booty was responsible for the attack. Reports suggest that a altercation between Parks and Booty escalated into a fatal stabbing at Parks’ mother’s residence.

Booty has been taken into custody and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Center on a charge of second-degree murder. His bail has been set at $500,000.
