Police dog helps track down suspects after pursuit in Enfield
ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) – A police dog played a crucial role in locating two suspects following a police pursuit in Enfield on Sunday.
According to the Enfield Police Department K-9 Unit, in the early hours of Sunday morning, officers attempted to stop a motor vehicle. However, the vehicle failed to stop, leading officers to terminate the pursuit in accordance with the State Pursuit Policy.
Shortly after, officers discovered the vehicle parked, and two young males fled the scene on foot. K9 Duke was deployed to track down the suspects. After a thorough search through multiple yards, K9 Duke successfully located one of the suspects hiding behind a hot tub. The second suspect was apprehended by additional officers in the vicinity.
The individuals were identified as juveniles and were subsequently released to their guardians.
