KNOX COUNTY, Ky. – Michigan man arrested for drug trafficking

On Sunday, Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith announced the arrest of a Michigan man on drug charges. The arrest came after deputies received a tip about a large quantity of meth, fentanyl, and heroin being delivered to the Corbin area in a grey Dodge Charger.

Drug seizure on Cumberland Gap Parkway

Deputies acted swiftly on the information and located the suspect vehicle on the Cumberland Gap Parkway in Corbin. The driver, identified as Demarcus Johnson, 29, was pulled over and subjected to a thorough search.

Large drug haul discovered

During the search, officials uncovered three ounces of suspected methamphetamine and three ounces of suspected fentanyl/heroin in Johnson’s possession. The discovery led to his immediate arrest on charges of trafficking meth, trafficking fentanyl, and drug possession.
