Man Charged with Murder of 19-Year-Old Ex-Girlfriend in Lower Makefield Township, Pennsylvania

A tragic incident unfolded in Lower Makefield Township, Pennsylvania, as 19-year-old Jaden Battista lost her life in a horrific stabbing incident. The suspect, identified as her ex-boyfriend, 23-year-old Trevor Weigel, has been formally charged with first-degree murder in connection with the crime.

The tragic incident took place outside a residence in the 2500 block of Waterford Road. Authorities received a distress call around 2:20 p.m., reporting a man attempting to gain entry through a first-floor window.

Upon arrival, law enforcement witnessed the harrowing scene as Weigel chased Battista and violently attacked her. Despite swift intervention by officers, Battista succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Weigel, who fled the scene on foot, was pursued by police and eventually apprehended after a dramatic chase that culminated in him stabbing himself. He is currently receiving medical treatment for his self-inflicted wounds and is expected to survive.

In a shocking revelation, authorities recovered a knife along the path Weigel took during his escape. Weigel has been denied bail and remains in custody as the investigation unfolds.
