Esther Wojcicki described Marco Troper as a kind, loving, smart, and vibrant young man who had just begun his freshman year at UC Berkeley, majoring in mathematics. He was actively involved in his dorm community at Stern Hall and was a member of the Zeta Psi fraternity. His family and friends are devastated by the sudden loss and the promising future that was cut short.
The University of California Police Department has stated that there are no signs of foul play in Troper’s death, but the exact cause remains unknown. However, Esther Wojcicki suspects that Marco may have passed away due to a drug overdose, revealing that he had ingested an unknown substance.
