Tragic Accident Claims Two Lives in Runnels County, Texas

RUNNELS COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A devastating single-vehicle crash has resulted in the loss of two lives in Runnels County, Texas.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene of the accident on February 17 at 2:26 p.m. The incident occurred on FM 3115, approximately 15 miles south of Miles, Texas.

According to reports, the driver of a Ford Explorer was travelling south on FM 3115 when the vehicle veered off the right side of the road. In an attempt to regain control, the driver steered back onto the roadway, causing the Ford Explorer to skid sideways and ultimately overturn.

Tragically, both the driver and the passenger were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, resulting in them being ejected from the vehicle upon impact.

Victims of the Crash

The driver has been identified as 27-year-old Ernest Joe Rose III, a resident of Bronte, Texas. The passenger, a 15-year-old individual, has not had their identity publicly disclosed at this time.

Both occupants of the vehicle tragically lost their lives in the accident, leaving behind grieving family and friends.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash in an effort to determine the exact cause of the tragic incident.
