Tragic Accidents Claim Lives in Ramanagara District

In a series of unfortunate events, Ramanagara district has witnessed two separate accidents that have resulted in the loss of lives and injuries to several individuals. The incidents have left a somber atmosphere in the region, as families and loved ones mourn the untimely demise of their kin.

Accident on Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway

One of the accidents occurred on the Bengaluru-Mysuru access-controlled highway in the early hours of Saturday, claiming the lives of three individuals, including a woman. The tragic incident took place near Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College at Dabanagunda Village in Channapatna taluk. The victims, identified as Somalingappa, Shivalingappa, and Rajeshwari, were travelling back to Mysuru from Bengaluru in a Tempo Traveller after attending a wedding.

Reports suggest that the driver of the Tempo Traveller was overspeeding, leading to a collision with a truck that resulted in the wrecking of the vehicle. Five other passengers sustained minor injuries in the accident, adding to the devastation caused by the crash.

Tractor Mishap in Sathanur Police Station Limits

In another heart-wrenching incident, two individuals lost their lives while three others sustained injuries when a tractor carrying steel rods toppled in the Sathanur police station limits. The accident occurred between 4.30 pm and 5 pm on Friday near Jakkegowdanahalli on the Bengaluru-Sathanur Road.

The deceased, identified as Biswanth Roy (45) and Jaideb Roy (22), were labourers from West Bengal who tragically came under the steel rods and were killed on the spot. The incident has left a deep impact on the local community, highlighting the risks faced by individuals working in hazardous conditions.

As investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding these accidents, authorities are urging caution and adherence to road safety protocols to prevent further tragedies from occurring.
