Tragic Snowmobile Accident Claims Life of Massachusetts Woman in New Hampshire

A devastating incident unfolded in Milan, New Hampshire, as a Massachusetts woman lost her life in a snowmobile crash while navigating the scenic trails of the region. The tragic event occurred when Shawnee Hollis, a resident of North Brookfield, Massachusetts, missed a crucial turn while riding with a group of fellow snowmobilers.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department sprang into action upon receiving a distress call reporting a single-snowmobile collision on Primary Trail 109 in Milan. The emergency response team swiftly located Hollis using GPS coordinates obtained from the 911 call and the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association trail app.

Despite their best efforts to transport Hollis to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin for treatment of her severe injuries, she tragically succumbed to the trauma sustained in the crash. Authorities cited inexperience as the primary contributing factor to the unfortunate incident.
