Tragic Shooting Incident at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs
On a fateful Friday morning, tragedy struck the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs as two individuals lost their lives in a double shooting. The victims have been identified as Samuel Knopp, a 24-year-old student from Parker, and Celie Rain Montgomery, a 26-year-old non-student from Pueblo.

The incident took place just before 6 a.m. in a dorm room at the Crestone House on campus. The campus police department received a distressing call about shots fired, leading to a swift response from the Colorado Springs Police Department.

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office is currently conducting autopsies to determine the cause and manner of death. While the investigation is ongoing, authorities are treating Knopp and Montgomery’s deaths as homicides. It has been clarified that this was not a murder-suicide.
