PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were kept busy during the week of February 5 – February 11, 2024, responding to a total of 1,948 calls for service across the community. The calls encompassed a wide range of incidents, including:
- Check Welfare / Mental Health: 61
- Disorderly: 24
- Domestics: 30
- Motor Vehicle Crashes: 33
- Patrol Checks / School Checks: 926
- Suspicious Persons / Vehicles: 27
- Traffic Complaints: 46
- 911 Hang-Ups: 46
- ARRESTS: 11

NOTABLE CASES / INCIDENTS:
CDS Violation: 24-10565 – On February 9, 2024, Cpl. Kelly conducted a traffic stop in Prince Frederick, which led to the arrest of Josephus Leroy Harris III, aged 45, and Tevon Anthony Middleton, aged 35, both residents of Prince Frederick. The search of their vehicle and persons revealed a significant amount of controlled dangerous substances, leading to multiple charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotics and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Paraphernalia.
CDS Violation: 24-1055 – On February 8, 2024, Deputy Campbell encountered Dennis Monte Moore, aged 27, in possession of counterfeit pills and a loaded firearm during a routine traffic stop in Solomons. Moore faced multiple charges related to possession of narcotics and firearms.
CDS Violation: 24-1028 – Master Deputy Cress apprehended Jaymen Ryan Greenfield, aged 38, following a pursuit that ended with the discovery of illegal substances in Greenfield’s possession. Greenfield was charged with drug-related offenses.
CDS Violation: 24-996 – F/Sgt. McCarroll arrested Robert Joseph Fry, aged 46, for drug-related charges and driving offenses during a routine traffic stop along the Calvert / Anne Arundel County line.
Trespassing: 24-9315 – A male individual, identified as Robert Allen Rice, aged 57, was arrested for trespassing at a local establishment in Prince Frederick, where he had been permanently banned from entering.
Theft: 24-11170 – In a separate incident, Cpl. J. Ward responded to a theft report at a Starbucks location in Prince Frederick, where an unknown female suspect stole a tip jar containing cash. The investigation into this theft is ongoing.

- On Feb. 9, Nicholas A. Shepherd, aged 33, of Lusby, was arrested by DFC Shoemaker
- On Feb. 12, Miguel Saneaux, aged 41, of Bethesda, was arrested by Deputy Jones
- On Feb. 13, Deedra J. Hanley, aged 31, of Bryans Road, was arrested by Sgt. Naughton
