Accident – Death – Obituary News : LSU running back Trey Holly and two others were arrested on Thursday in connection with a shooting at a Union Parish apartment complex last weekend. The incident left two people injured in Holly’s hometown of Farmerville (La.), with the second-year running back now facing three felony charges. Holly was charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder, one count of aggravated criminal damage to property, and one count of illegal use of a weapon, sources told LSU Country.

In his first statement since the news broke, Holly took to social media to proclaim his innocence. “I have been falsely identified, accused, and arrested,” he wrote. “I am 100% innocent, and the people who know me understand that this is not my character at all. Holly asserted that he was at home when the incident took place and turned himself in upon being notified of an arrest warrant. “Due to this being an ongoing investigation, I cannot give many details,” he added. The sophomore running back remains in custody at the Union Parish Detention Center as the investigation unfolds.
