Rutland Woman Arrested for DUI Following Clarendon Crash

CLARENDON — A Rutland woman was taken into custody by Vermont State Police on charges of driving under the influence after being involved in a single-vehicle crash early on Valentine’s Day morning.

Authorities reported that troopers from the Rutland Barracks rushed to the scene on US RT 7 near the Clarendon Rest Stop at approximately 3:30 a.m.

The driver, identified as 51-year-old Kimberly Senecal from Rutland, was the sole individual involved in the accident.

Upon conducting their investigation, troopers observed numerous indicators of impairment in Senecal’s behaviour.

Subsequently, Senecal was arrested and transported to the Rutland City Police Department for further processing.

Following the completion of the processing, Senecal was issued a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division at a later date to answer to the DUI charges brought against her.

The Vermont State Police have refrained from disclosing additional information regarding the incident at this time, citing the ongoing court proceedings.
