Fatal stabbing of food truck vendor in Phoenix
A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday night in Phoenix when a man fatally stabbed a food truck vendor, identified as Heriberto Acosta, 41, outside a business near 35th Avenue and Van Buren Street. The Phoenix Police Department reported that the stabbing occurred just after 11:30 p.m.
Acosta, who was in the process of closing down his food truck for the night, was confronted by multiple men who emerged from a car that pulled into the parking lot. A heated altercation ensued, during which Acosta was stabbed multiple times by one of the individuals involved in the fight, according to police officials.
Following the attack, the assailant retreated back into the car and fled the scene. Emergency services arrived promptly and transported Acosta to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
