Foley Police Arrest Bay Minette Man on Multiple Counts of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle
The Foley Police Department in Alabama has announced the arrest of a 23-year-old man from Bay Minette on charges of Discharging a Firearm into an occupied vehicle. The suspect, identified as Demetrius Kevon Dailey, was apprehended in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on February 4th.
According to Deputy Chief of Police Kevin Carnley, the arrest was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the department’s Criminal Investigations Division, which includes detectives, crime analysts, and other professional staff members. Evidence collected at the scene of the crime led investigators to uncover an additional vehicle and victim that were targeted by the shooter.
Initial findings suggest that the perpetrator, identified as Demetrius Kevon Dailey, intentionally fired shots at his intended victim, resulting in damage to an occupied vehicle belonging to another individual. Contrary to earlier reports of a gun battle, the evidence indicates that the suspect acted alone and showed a blatant disregard for the safety of bystanders and motorists in the vicinity.
Following the identification of the suspect and the vehicle information obtained during the investigation, law enforcement agencies in the area were alerted to his whereabouts. Baldwin County Sheriff’s Deputies located Dailey at a residence in south Fairhope and arrested him without incident. He now faces five charges of Discharging a Firearm into an occupied vehicle.
