Man Arrested for Fatal Shooting in Washington, D.C.

The Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. have apprehended a suspect involved in a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the death of a man.

The incident took place on Sunday, February 18, at around 3:00 a.m. on the 1600 block of Rosedale Street. Authorities received a distressing report of gunshots being fired in the area and promptly responded to the scene.

Upon reaching the location, officers discovered a male victim with gunshot wounds inside a residence. Sadly, the victim, identified as 35-year-old Darius Robinson from Northwest, D.C., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect Apprehended

The perpetrator, 25-year-old Charles Demarco Best from Clinton, Maryland, attempted to flee the scene following the shooting. However, thanks to the swift actions of law enforcement officers, Best was quickly located and taken into custody.

Best has since been charged with second degree murder in connection with the incident. Investigators believe that there was a prior acquaintance between the victim and the suspect.
