38-Year-Old Rohingya Man Fatally Stabbed in Cox’s Bazar Camp

A tragic incident unfolded in Ukhia’s Jamtoli camp in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday night, as a 38-year-old Rohingya man, Badsha Mia, was brutally stabbed to death by a group of unknown miscreants. The victim, son of Sirajul Mia and a resident of the camp, fell victim to a senseless act of violence that has left the community in shock and mourning.

Details of the Incident

According to Officer-in-Charge Shamim Hossain of Ukhia police station, the perpetrators, numbering around 4-5 individuals, lured Badsha Mia out of his house before launching a vicious attack on him. After beating him mercilessly, they proceeded to stab him multiple times before fleeing the scene, leaving behind a trail of devastation.

Local residents rushed to the scene upon hearing the commotion and found Badsha in critical condition. He was immediately transported to MSF Hospital for urgent medical attention, but tragically, the attending doctor pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Investigation and Autopsy

The authorities have initiated an investigation into the heinous crime, with the motive behind the murder remaining shrouded in mystery. The body of the deceased has been transferred to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for a thorough autopsy, in an effort to shed light on the circumstances leading to his untimely demise.
