HOUSTON – Funeral arrangements set for Deputy Ronald Bates

The community is coming together to honor the life of Harris County Deputy Ronald Bates, who tragically lost his life in a crash last week. The funeral for Deputy Bates will be held on Saturday at Fallbrook Church.

Deputy Ronald Bates, a dedicated 62-year-old officer, was fatally injured in a one-vehicle crash in Downtown Houston. The visitation for Bates will begin at 10 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Fallbrook Church located at 12512 Walters Road.

Harris County Sheriff, Ed Gonzalez, expressed his heartfelt condolences on the tragic loss of Deputy Bates. In a statement released by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Gonzalez described Bates as a dedicated public servant who will be greatly missed. The entire community is mourning the loss of a true hero.
