Three Shooting Victims Found Dead in Northeast D.C. identified

Washington, D.C. – In a tragic incident that unfolded on Wednesday night, three shooting victims were found dead in an apartment in Northeast D.C. The victims have been identified as 58-year-old Renee Bigelow, 40-year-old Kimberly Stevens, and 59-year-old Leon Harper. The incident occurred in the 5000 block of Jay Street NE, where officers responded to a report of an unconscious person at 7:38 p.m. on February 14.

Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered the entrance door slightly ajar. Inside the apartment, they found the lifeless bodies of the three adults, all of whom had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Assistant Chief Ramey Kyle of the D.C. Police briefed the media during a news conference Wednesday night, confirming the details of the incident.

The victims, identified as Renee Bigelow, Kimberly Stevens, and Leon Harper, were all residents of Northeast D.C. Renee Bigelow, however, did not have a fixed address. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) released a statement providing the names of the victims.

The MPD is treating all three deaths as homicides and is actively investigating the case. In an effort to gather information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible, the D.C. police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for each homicide committed within the city.
