Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Wife and Young Son in Fit of Rage in Sitapur District
Lucknow: A 38-year-old man has been arrested for the alleged murder of his wife and young son in a fit of rage at their village in Sitapur district in the early hours of Friday. Senior police officials in Lucknow have confirmed the arrest of the accused, Pradeep Giri, on charges of murder.
The tragic incident took place in Pakriya village under the jurisdiction of Imaliya Sultanpur police station. The victims have been identified as Bhura Devi, 35, and her three-year-old son Aarush.

According to Prabhatesh Kumar, an officer at the station, the incident unfolded around midnight on Thursday when the deceased woman’s father, Tota Giri, reported a heated argument between Pradeep and Bhura. Allegedly, Pradeep struck Bhura with a spade while she was holding Aarush, resulting in severe injuries to both.
Despite Pradeep rushing the injured mother and son to a local hospital, Aarush tragically succumbed to his injuries at Siddhauli CHC. Bhura Devi, unfortunately, also lost her life while undergoing treatment at the King George Medical University (KGMU) trauma centre in Lucknow.
