College Student Brutally Attacks School-Going Teen in Broad Daylight in Coimbatore

A horrifying incident took place in Coimbatore on Saturday, February 17, when a college student viciously attacked a 17-year-old school-going teen in broad daylight at the Ondipudur bus stand. The shocking attack occurred amidst a crowd of commuters waiting for their buses, leaving everyone in shock and disbelief.

The victim, a resident of Ondipudur and a student of Class 12 in a private school in Chinnavedampatti, was identified as the unfortunate target of this gruesome assault. The perpetrator, identified as Perarasu (18) from Singanallur, is currently a first-year BCom CA student at a private college in Coimbatore.

Reports suggest that on the fateful morning, Perarasu arrived at the bus stand on his bike and proceeded to smear chilli powder on the victim’s face as he waited for his school bus. Without warning, Perarasu launched a brutal attack on the unsuspecting student, wielding a sickle and inflicting fatal wounds on his neck and right hand before fleeing the scene.

Witnesses to the heinous crime immediately called for an ambulance and notified the police, who swiftly responded to the scene. The victim was rushed to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, where tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
