Tragic Accident in Oakdale Claims Life of 28-Year-Old Woman

A devastating car crash occurred on Saturday, Feb. 17 in Oakdale, resulting in the loss of a young woman’s life. The victim, identified as Nyree Walker, age 28, was driving her 2016 Honda Civic eastbound on Montauk Highway when tragedy struck.

According to Suffolk County Police, Walker lost control of her vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and collide with a tree at approximately 12:35 p.m. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Walker was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
